For static design calculations of shotcrete applications and tunnel elements, calculation methods are being used widely in international literature. Especially deformation capacity of consrete and energy absorbtion capacity is main aspect for design. In United States, ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) guidelines are being used, while European methods are based on EFNARC test methods.
